BLK STRY Studio Membership Terms

BLK STRY Studio memberships are designed for creatives who want consistent access to an elevated natural light studio without the hassle of booking studio time each month.

Our non-refundable memberships provide photographers, videographers, and content creators priority access to the studio while maintaining a simple and predictable workflow. Members enjoy discounted hourly rates, early access to the studio calendar, mentorship opportunities, and a creative space designed to elevate their work.

Studio Hours

Each membership includes a set number of studio hours per month based on the selected membership tier.

Unused studio hours do not roll over and must be used within the current billing cycle.

Studio time is reserved in booking blocks. Once a time block has been booked, that time is considered used even if the session ends early, as the studio has been reserved and made unavailable to other creatives.

Additional studio hours beyond those included in the membership may be booked at the member hourly rate when availability allows.

Membership hours are reserved specifically for the member and may not be transferred, shared, or split between multiple photographers.

Mentorship

Membership includes access to mentorship opportunities with the studio owners. These may include monthly mentorship sessions, small group discussions, or occasional workshops focused on topics such as client experience, workflow, posing, pricing, marketing, and building a sustainable photography business.

Booking and Scheduling

Members must use their initial confirmation email to schedule their included studio sessions through the studio booking calendar.

Rescheduling requests must follow the standard studio booking policies. Late cancellations or missed bookings may result in the forfeiture of the reserved studio time.

Members may bring assistants, makeup artists, stylists, or collaborators for their sessions as needed. Guest photographers may not use membership hours independently.

Studio Conduct

BLK STRY Studio is a professional creative environment. Members and their guests are expected to respect the space and treat the studio, furnishings, and equipment as if they were their own.

All content created in the studio must remain tasteful and respectful.

Smoking, vaping, marijuana, alcohol, or illegal substances are not permitted inside the studio.

Loud music is not permitted out of respect for neighboring businesses.

Members are responsible for ensuring their guests and clients follow all studio policies during their booking.

Membership Commitment and Renewal

Memberships are nonrefundable + require a minimum commitment period based on the selected plan (typically six months). Members will be billed monthly at the rate listed for their membership tier during this initial commitment period.

After the initial commitment period has been completed, the membership will automatically renew and continue on a month-to-month basis at the same monthly rate unless a 30-day written cancellation notice is provided by the member.

All membership payments are final and non-refundable.

BLK STRY Studio reserves the right to update membership pricing in the future. Any pricing changes will be communicated to members in advance.

BLK STRY Studio also reserves the right to cancel memberships or studio access if studio policies are not followed.
